March 2021 Monthly Headline Inflation Rate
The country's headline inflation rate at the national level for 2021 decelerated as it reached 4.5 in March 2021. Last month, it was recorded at 4.7 percent and in March 2020, 2.5 percent.
Lower annual increments were noted in the following indices: food and non- alcoholic beverages; alcoholic beverages and tobacco; furnishing, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house; communication; and restaurant and miscellaneous goods and services. However, higher increments were noted in the transportation index. Further, the annual decline of the recreation and culture index was lower than that of last month.
